Enterprise Power Management

CPI Enterprise Power Management

With today’s high power density applications, power management has become an integral part of the overall data center solution. At CPI, we’ve developed power management solutions to help you minimize cost while increasing efficiency. From power strips to our unique line of eConnect™ power distribution units (PDUs), CPI solutions live by the adage – knowledge is power.

How much it costs to power your data center lives in direct relation to how energy efficient your equipment is, how well you monitor your power output and usage, and how quickly you respond to downtime. At CPI, we deliver an all-encompassing power management solution set that offers you the ability to:

  • Monitor real-time power usage with as little as ±1 percent metering accuracy
  • Deploy in high density applications (such as Vertical Exhaust Duct and Hot Aisle Containment configurations) with an impressive threshold as high as 149ºF (65ºC) using a low profile design
  • Provide intuitive enterprise reporting across your power infrastructure using an interactive screen that provides notifications, authentications and other critical functionality for SNMP v3 and IPv6 protocols
  • Connect any combination of up to 20 networked PDUs and access all PDUs through a single IP address using a built-in web interface

CPI also helps you integrate power management into a total data center solution, including Data Center infrastructure Efficiency (DCiE), Data Center energy Productivity (DCeP) and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). These help determine how efficiently power and thermal cooling is utilized in the data center, and are a main component to better power management. Not to mention, monitoring power usage can even help IT departments gauge power efficiency of specific equipment within the data center, thus aligning future product purchases with those network routers, switches and servers that perform best for your system.
